Whatever- it's true and it's good news...I have a teeny, eeeny, tiny papaya starting. Now if we can just keep the plant from freezing until it grows into something edible.

You are soooo lucky!My daughter says I run everything with a penis off-even the papaya agrees. Found several on Craigs List for $3 and $5 dollars so I can go get the right sexed for the fruit to happen.
Just found your blog doing some random looking at blogville -- we are almost neighbors -- we live in Katy. I, alas, do not have a green thumb and if I were to try to live on what I could grow I'd starve! I can grow flowers, but that is about all. Enjoyed reading your blog and promise to visit again.
